HOW TO APPLY
STEP ONE:
Complete an Application/Registration Form for Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools' International Program in one of two ways:
1. CLICK HERE to complete and submit our online registration form electronically.2. CLICK HERE to download a PDF copy of our registration form.
STEP TWO:
- Attach a copy of your passport or birth certificate with photo or identity card.
- Provide transcripts of marks for the past 2 years, in English, with an official school stamp. (PLEASE DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS; SEND ATTESTED COPIES)
- Provide a letter of recommendation from your current teacher or principal.
- Write and provide a Letter of Intent – stating why you wish to study in Canada and your long term academic goals (one page maximum)
- TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, CAEL or any recognized English Proficiency results if completed
- Include fees:
- C$ 200 Application Fee (non-refundable)
- C$ 10 000 yearly tuition (C$ 5000 for one semester)
- C$595 Student Health Insurance fee if applying from September to June, otherwise confirm the amount payable by e-mailing
- Include Homestay Application (click HERE for Homestay Application Form) and Homestay fees if Homestay being applied for:
- C$400 Homestay Placement Fee
- C$6750 Homestay Fee (C$ 3375 for one semester)
NOTE: Tuition, Health Insurance, and Homestay fees must be paid either in full at the time of registration or in two installments (the first installment would be paid at the time of registration and the second installment is due by January 1st, to allow for schooling and homestay in the second semester).
- Pay fees in Canadian funds using a bank draft, money order, or certified cheque, payable to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools (contact our office for specific fee payment instructions). Indicate clearly the name of the person paying the fees and to whom the receipt should be made.

STEP THREE:
- After fees are received, a letter of acceptance to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools and a receipt will be issued. Students will use these as part of their application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for a study permit
- Students can contact the CIC authority in their home country for information about applying for a study permit. Applying for a study permit can take up to 3 or 4 months
- Once fees are paid and a student has been accepted, we will set up his/her health insurance coverage and provide a copy of the insurance policy for your records. You can view details regarding student health insurance by clicking HERE.
STEP FOUR:
- Prepare to travel to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. You should arrive one week prior to the first week of school. Send details regarding your itinerary to
Obtaining Your Canadian Study Permit
The following link provided by the Canadian Government Department of Citizenship and Immigration will explain how you are to obtain a study permit, which is required in order for you to study in Canada.

- Students in Canada wishing to apply to extend their study permit can do so by requesting information and application forms from CIC. Applications are mailed to Vegreville, Alberta, Canada and can take up to 3 months to process.
